M.C. Escher
Maurits Cornelis Escher (Leeuwarden, 17 June 1898 - Hilversum, 27 March 1972), was a Dutch graphic artist. He is known for his often mathematically inspired woodcuts, lithographs, and mezzotints. After an aborted attempt to become an architect, Escher studied graphic art at the School for Architecture and Decorative Arts in Haarlem. Over the years and throughout his travels, he created a number of fascinating landscapes, portraits, and geometric designs, but the work for which he is most famous, his tessellations, were his main preoccupation.

Each Escher-like tessellation is made up of polygons. A polygon is a closed figure bounded by three or more straight line segments. To move a polygon point simply move the mouse pointer over the point. It will change to a small circle to indicate that you can select the point. Press the left mouse button and drag the mouse. The point follows the mouse pointer. Use the right mouse button to remove a polygon point.
1. Do one of the following:
 Choose Effects > Tessellation > M.C. Escher

Click the M.C. Escher button
2. Use the following options:
  Count
This option allows you to adjust how many times the shape is repeated in the pattern.

Min = 1, Max = 100, Default = 4.
  Lines
Use this option to draw a border around each shape.
  Curve
Draws a closed curve. A closed curve is a closed cardinal spline defined by the corner points of a shape.
  Round Join

MiterRound
This option allows you to choose between a round line join and a miter (sharp) line join.
  Eyes
